Coaching Experience:
Coach Wodke enters his 1st year at RISE Volleyball Club and his 35th year coaching overall. Over a career spanning high school, club, and beach volleyball, Brian spent 10 years as a high school head coach, earning four top-8 state finishes, including a runner-up finish. Across 25 years of club coaching, he has maintained a career winning percentage over .700, guiding teams to two Regional titles, multiple Platinum wins, and numerous tournament championships. He has also led club teams to three top-10 national finishes across different divisions (placing 3rd, 5th, and 9th), and has helped more than 100 athletes go on to play at the collegiate level. He has coached camps for the University of Washington Volleyball Camps and has coached junior beach pairs, helping several athletes reach Junior Nationals.

Playing Experience:
Brian played for the Oregon Men's club volleyball team and has enjoyed playing beach volleyball for more than 20 years. He draws heavily on his own playing background to relate to and connect with his teams.

Personal:
Outside of volleyball, Brian works as an Executive at Jerry's Home Improvement. He is a Hogan Personality certified trainer and serves on the Leadership Council for the city of Springfield, experience he draws on to understand team dynamics and bring people together. He and his wife, Martine, live an active lifestyle with their two dogs. As a father of four, he loves supporting his kids' athletic journeys — including one who went on to play Division I volleyball. In his free time, he enjoys boating at the lake and snowboarding in the winter.

Coaching Experience:
Coach Hemelsoet enters his 1st year at RISE Volleyball Club and his 42nd year coaching overall. Didier has coached at every major level of the sport, including professionally with Asterix Kieldrecht (Belgium); at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Tulsa, Arkansas, and Oregon; in club volleyball with Webfoot (since 1999); and at the high school and USAV level with Churchill and Thurston High Schools. In addition to coaching, he has been officiating college and high school matches as a certified referee since 2008.

Playing Experience:
Didier brings over four decades of elite volleyball experience as a player, coach, and referee. He competed for 20 years at a high level, mastering multiple positions including middle blocker, outside hitter, and setter.

Personal:
Volleyball is a very complicated sport that requires a lot of different technical and physical skills. I love helping young players develop and grow in this great sport.

Coaching Experience:
Martine Wodke is in her first year coaching for RISE Volleyball Club and her 22nd year coaching overall. She is the head coach at Sheldon High School, where she led the team to its first State Title in 2022 and 9 consecutive top-8 finishes. Previously, she was the head coach at Churchill High School for 9 years and the Club Director at Webfoot Juniors for 5 years.

Playing Experience:
Martine played volleyball at North Eugene High School and Emerald City Volleyball Club before playing collegiately at Chemeketa Community College and Western Oregon University. She still plays sand and indoor volleyball with her "Moms Gone Mild" crew, a team built from old high school and post-college friendships.

Personal:
Outside of volleyball, Martine is starting her 22nd year teaching middle school math at Kelly Middle School. She lives with her husband, Brian, and has four kids. Alycia and Cameron are doing great as adults, while Lucy and Lincoln are busy thriving as swimmers. In her free time, she loves boating, being in the sun, and relaxing with family and friends.

Coach Yovan enters her 1st year at RISE Volleyball Club and her 6th year coaching overall. She shared her experience and love for the game as a coach with Webfoot Volleyball Club for five years.

Playing Experience:
Samantha is a Eugene, Oregon native and graduate of Sheldon High School, where her passion for volleyball began. She continued her athletic career at Linn-Benton Community College, earning All-American honors, before going on to play at Oregon State University. In 2026, she will be inducted into the Linn-Benton Athletics Hall of Fame in recognition of her accomplishments. 

Personal:
After Oregon State, Samantha earned her master's degree in business from Corban University. Today, she is the proud mom of a one-year-old son.

Coach Miller enters her 1st season at RISE Volleyball Club and her 2nd season coaching club volleyball overall. She has also worked with athletes of various ages through elementary and middle school co-ed clinics. Coach Miller has experience running her own youth summer volleyball camp in her hometown, where she helped young athletes develop their skills and grow their love for the game.

Playing Experience:
Coach Miller played competitive volleyball throughout high school for club and school, competing in the top division in her area. She served as captain of her varsity high school team for three years and was also selected as captain for each of her club teams. Throughout her playing career, she earned multiple Honorable Mention and Second Team All-League recognitions. Her experience as both a leader and competitive athlete helped shape her passion for teamwork, strong communication, and creating a positive environment for athletes.

Personal:
Coach Miller is originally from California and attended the University of Oregon, where she met her college sweetheart and now husband. They share their home with their two Cavapoos, Gatsby and Goose. Coming from a big sports-loving household, Coach Miller and her husband can often be found watching games or hosting friends and family for sporting events. Outside of volleyball, she enjoys playing pickleball, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Coach Pharris enters her 1st year with RISE Volleyball Club and her 5th year coaching overall. She currently serves as the JV Girls Volleyball Coach and Boys Varsity Volleyball Coach at Marist Catholic High School. Coach Pharris is passionate about developing athletes both technically and mentally, with an emphasis on teamwork, accountability, confidence, and mental toughness. She believes in creating a positive and competitive environment where athletes are challenged to grow, compete for one another, and become better versions of themselves both on and off the court.

Playing Experience:
Coach Pharris played volleyball at Oakridge High School, competing as an outside hitter. During her playing career, she earned All-League honors and was named Female Athlete of the Year. She was also a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball and softball.

Personal:
Outside of volleyball, Coach Pharris enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and being involved in her kids’ activities. She is a mom of two and has two dogs. She loves the relationships that volleyball creates and is excited to continue helping athletes grow, compete, and find confidence in themselves through the sport.
